Shantanu Krishnan is a Third generation photographer, based in Chennai, India. His Grand Uncle, R Krishnan was an industrial photographer in the 60s and

his Father, D Krishnan was the Photo Editor of The Hindu.

Shantanu has a First Class Degree in Visual Communication from the University of Madras. Shantanu was selected to attend a Photography workshop conducted by the National Geographic Society.

He is a member of the Photographic Society of Madras and was named youth photographer of the Year 2018.

He was the official photographer for the National Rowing Championships in 2018.

He was the Team Photographer for Chennai City FC for the 2019-20 Season.

He interned with The Hindu & his images have been used by UNICEF.

He has photographed several sporting events including

The Ranji Trophy, The Premier Badminton League ,the I-League, the AFC Champions League and the Indian Touring Car Championships. 

He has published 3 calendars and had his works exhibited in galleries.
